Experience & Training
I have been in private practice as a psychologist since 1980. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S).
I taught for many years as a Senior Lecturer at Cambridge College offering courses on Developmental Psychology, Psychopathology, and Group Dynamics as well as two courses that I developed, one on Holistic Psychology and one on Applied Neuroscience. I have also taught at Lesley University, Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, and other venues both nationally and internationally.
I have training and experience in a variety of modalities including Ericksonian and classical hypnosis, family and couple therapy, group therapy, organizational development, developmental psychology, gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, and body-oriented psychotherapy based on the approaches of Ilana Rubenfeld, F.M. Alexander, and Moshe Feldenkrais.I have studied and practiced Tai Chi for many years.
I have written extensively on issues of psychotherapy, spirituality in psychotherapy, and integrating Jewish spirituality and psychotherapy, including a book entitled Mirrors in Time: A Psycho-Spiritual Journey through the Jewish Year.
